Fix Unknown usb driver ( device descriptor request failed) 2024 ,usb\device_descriptor_failure :I am facing this problem in my windows 11 Unknown usb driver ( device descriptor request failed ). But my USB ports are working fine. I put my pendrive and it works well.
I applied below settings but still the problem not fix yet. The settings are –
1. Uninstall and update drivers from “device manager”
2. Copy the device instance path and go to “Registry editor” and HKEY_Local_machine >system > current control set > Enum>Usb. I get that path and Right click to new file as DWORD 32bit and named as “EnhancedPowerManagementEnabled” and set the value to 0 and restart the windows.
3. Disable USB selective suspend setting
4. Disable fast startup
5. Use hardware troubleshooting
6. Use some commands, for example “sfc /scannow” and “wuauclt.exe /update now” etc.
7. At last I Update my windows 11
8. At last I also Format my pc.
After applying these settings, why the problem not fix yet ? Kindly guide me how to fix…..
Run Hardware Troubleshooter to diagnose issue with hardware if there are any on your computer. Follow the steps:
1. Click Start or press Windows logo and go to Settings
2. Search for troubleshooting and select Troubleshooting
3. Go to Hardware and Sounds
4. Select Hardware and Devices and click on next, then follow the on-screen instructions.
Disable and re-enable all the Universal Serial Bus controllers (USB) controllers.The USB controllers represent the USB ports in Device Manager.
To disable and re-enable the USB controllers, follow these steps:
1. Open Device Manager
2. Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
3. Note: You might have to scroll down the list to find this item.
4. Right-click the first USB controller under Universal Serial Bus controllers, and then click Uninstall to remove it.
5. Repeat the above step for each USB controller that is listed under Universal Serial Bus controllers.
6. Restart the computer. After the computer starts, Windows will automatically scan for hardware changes
7. Reinstall all the USB controllers that you uninstalled
