How to get rid of artifacts on screen

Step 1: Fix the system

In this step, there are 3 solutions for you as follows:
  • Uninstall recently installed programs and applications (before problems occur, of course) to eliminate the possibility of software conflicts.
  • Uninstall the current video card driver and reinstall a more suitable version
  • Reinstall the new Windows version for the laptop
The way to update the new driver is as follows: first, right-click the Computer icon on the desktop and select Manage, then find and select Device Manager -> Display adapters. Next determine the name of the screen driver and then right-click it, select Uninstall to remove. After successfully uninstalling, you will download the new Driver to install it on your laptop.
If these methods do not help to fix the situation we are experiencing, we will move on to the next troubleshooting step.

Step 2: Fix the hardware

The condition of the computer or laptop screen with horizontal and vertical stripes can be caused by the following hardware causes:
  • Loose display cable
  • Broken VGA chip
  • Broken circuit printed vertically or horizontally on the screen
  • Broken screen
For loose cable errors, you have to remove the laptop and check the cable position again. The laptop’s display cable is designed to be located just below the keyboard, so just remove the keyboard and we will see it right away.
However, the operation must be very careful because the cable is very thin due to the structure on nylon. Just a small mistake you can damage or break it. After re-plugging the cable, we should also use a clean cotton swab to remove dust around this area.
If your laptop uses a discrete VGA card, it is very likely that this error belongs to VGA. If the VGA pin is damaged, a technical operation must be used to close the chip.
In case the relevant parts have been edited, but the screen still shows no signs of improvement, we are forced to choose between two directions: one is to keep this condition to continue using (when the stripes not much), two is to replace the new screen to continue operations on the machine.
Wish you fix the laptop screen with horizontal and vertical stripes successfully!
