How to fix error 0x80070070 Windows 10

The problem seems to be that it is trying to install 10 on the recovery drive, not the C drive, which is less than 1/4 full. 

I can’t seem to find an answer how to get 10 to install on C and not recovery D drive.  Help?  It seems 10 reserved all the space available on recovery and now I can’t even do a restore.  It says 0 bytes used, but the drive shows almost full. 

I do not want to have to enlarge my recovery drive.  The specs said it is about 20 GB to install 10, so I’m really confused on why this is happening and how to fix it before  the upgrade period ends on 7/29.
