I dont have access to other charger..
Assuming that thunder bolt symbol is appearing so my charger might be working
How long have you had the battery / how old is the battery? It could be that the battery has gone bad. I had an older battery that was ‘stuck” at a higher percentage (with the Battery Is Not Charging message in the drop down menu) and it never changed over the course of multiple uses over the course of the week. Replaced that battery with a new battery, and the new battery works as expected.
That battery also did not power the laptop – as soon as I unplugged the charger the laptop died. If you do not plug in the AC charger, will your MacBook power on? If not, then the battery is definitely defective.
The battery in your MacBook is only good for about 1,000 cycles. After that time, Apple considers the battery to be consumed, which means it might not hold a charge anymore.
If your MacBook battery is consumed, your power cable won’t be able to charge it up. Instead, you’ll only be able to use your MacBook while it’s plugged in, unless you pay for a battery replacement.
