Hi,

Fixed: windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting install it
Fixed: windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting install it

I have tried to install BSNL EVDO device on my WIndows 8 OS. But I am getting below error;

“windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it: UE100 1xEV-DO USB Modem”

Please help out and provide me appropriate solution for this.

So trying to run the troubleshooter just gives me “Device does not have Bluetooth – Bluetooth is not available on this device”. Kind of what you’d expect, since the driver just wont install. I’ve tried all sorts in installing the driver, including downloading the driver from Intel and from my PC manufacturer’s website. I’ve even told the PC where to find the driver under “Right click->update drivers->browse for drivers on your computer->Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer-> select Bluetooth->Choose Intel Wireless Bluetooth Version 20.30.0.3->Click next” and I get the same error as before. Tried to just run the correct .inf file, get “The system cannot find the file specified”. Nothing works…

As you can see the drivers are available…

Also, this is how the Bluetooth device shows up in the list, as Unknown Device

How to fix:

Go into BlueTooth Settings > Devices > Bluetooth and other devices > then unpair/remove the device, restart then pair it again.

Use the Add Bluetooth wizard in Control Panel
Press Windows key + R
Type: control printers
Hit Enter
Click Add device then add the Bluetooth device again.

Have you checked for updated chipset drivers for your make and model?
Also, some manufacturers will provide separate Bluetooth drivers.

Other things you can try include the Bluetooth troubleshooter.

When complete, Restart your computer.

Press Windows key + X
Click Device Manager
Expand Bluetooth
Right click each entry then click Properties
Select the driver tab, click Rollback if its not grayed out.

If it is grayed out, right click Bluetooth driver then click uninstall
Restart your computer then check if its working again.

If not, remove any other Bluetooth devices since they might be causing interference .
