Let’s reset windows update components firstly:
Right click on the start button and select Powershell (admin) or Command Prompt (admin)
Write the next hit enter after each line.
net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver
Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
Ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old
net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits
net start msiserver
After completed, restart computer.
We must install the May 11, 2021 update (KB5003173) before installing the latest cumulative update (LCU), once you installed KB5003173, you could manually install the KB5003637 from catalog

Based on the error there might be CBS corruption. I suggest you run a dism restorehealth operation. For this:
1) Open an admin cmd
2) run: “dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth”
Try scan, download and install again.

Method 2: Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter (Windows 10- windows 11)
The Windows update error code: (0x80073712) usually occurs when you update Windows. Therefore, you can try Windows update troubleshooter, which is a Windows built-in tool used to fix most common errors that appear in Windows update process. Please enable this tool through the following steps:
Step 1. Open the Troubleshoot window through the following 2 ways.
- Type “Troubleshoot” in the Windows search box and select the best-match result.
- Click Start menu > Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
Step 2: In the right panel, look for Windows Update. Click it to expand the hidden button. Click Run the troubleshooter.
